Does Portugal have a distinctive bread? Like ciabatta in Italy or the baguette in France.

I'll reread your post later, and maybe comment some more. Over at Bruce's I said I thought entropy is the natural? supernatural? inability of coercive efforts to be eternal, more or less. Coercion of multiple not perfectly aligned wills seems to describe this life and myself pretty well.

yes, we have at least a couple distinctive breads, though I doubt their names are known outside of Portugal, or even inside, other than the regional designations. Rio Maior, Trás os Montes, Alentejo - these are some of those regions producing specific types of bread. I like them all - but that is just par for the course.

about the coercion part, perhaps. i need to think about it more.
