Myself When I Am Real
a novelette
the first chapter of my upcoming novel, deebop, ended up being fourteen thousand words, which is technically a novelette or even a novella, so i decided to publish it as a standalone epub for free ahead of the release of the novel.
it’s called Myself When I Am Real and i would describe it as a coming of age portrait of the artist as a young woman.
those who’ve read my last novel, powerless, will find familiar characters, as the story picks up right after the events depicted in that book.
