What if the reality is more subtle than this... I wonder this all the time about reincarnation. What if the disembodied state is not actually disembodied, somehow; there is a subtle body that is still a body (all things are material including the soul), what if it is physically linked to the body, the body's wider connection to the lineage, etc etc etc. IDK about this, I wonder about it.
i do believe there are multiple 'sheaths' as some put it. it's not on or off. there are levels. the specifics i don't know. some say four, some say five, some say three, some say idk how many. who knows. we'll find out eventually.
